My Alice and Olivia olive tee is trying to get more action than me. Although from my last article, I don’t think it’s plausible–but it’s getting quite close. Who would have thought that I’d love this basic over-sized tee more than any other item in my overbearing closet or rolling rack? It’s that staple item that, when not knowing what to wear, always saves the day.
The classic tee. My thought? AH-freakin-mazing. From James Pearse to LnA, there are quite a few designers that base their whole line around the t-shirt look. These days, a tee isn’t just a Hanes pack of three– it comes in various shapes, forms and colors. From trapeze tops, to asymmetrical hemlines and utilizing cobalt blue, pink, yellow and purple along with standard black and white, it’s these things that keep cotton interesting. James Pearse and LnA are two Los Angeles brands that house comfort and I’m knock-knock-knocking on its door.
There is a plethora of ways to wear that tee inspired top and don’t doubt a second that you’ll leave this page not knowing at least three different ways.
Whether cleaning house from that massive party you had the night before or just lounging reading the latest book from your book club, this tee will always have your back. To get the look, pair an over-sized tee with leggings or shorts. If you want an edgier look, there’s a long cotton skirt LnA debuts this spring, wear it with a comfortable sweatshirt tee.
From hitting class to running errands, asymmetrical striped tees are perfect for any day. Pair the tee with a cute scarf and cargos. If you want to reflect the season, throw on a ruffled skirt with a light weight denim jacket. This look gives you the chance to pull off the “thrown together but fashionable” look.
Living in the city of Angels, you see a flood of trendsetters. At the same time, you also see the wave that TRY to be trendsetters. You want to strive for the “I look good in everything” look– even in a simple tee. For a date, you want to accomplish the girlygirl or rocker chic persona. This is how– pair a tee with a shiny skirt, knit sweater and neutral wedge/heel. This will help to achieve the girly sheik look, but with a little edge– perfect for any day date! For evening dates, you want a hot look that screams “classy not sassy.” Throw a tee on with a leather jacket, black skinnies and booties or tights. Pair the outfit with a scarf and you have a rocker look that will make you different from all those minions in Hollywood.
This tee inspired article is coming to an end. Getitwhit readers- enjoy your tee and wear it like you’ve never worn it before! Today, I’ll be rocking, shocker, that Alice and Olivia top with my new All Saints trousers and Miu Miu wedge–my staple. What look will you be rocking?
Till next time,
Peace love and happiness!
