Carly Rae Jepsen Cancels Boy Scouts Concert Over Anti-Gay Policy

Carly Rae Jepsen is standing up against the Boy Scouts of America.

The singer just pulled out of a MAJOR concert because they don’t support gay rights.

“As an artist who believes in equality for all people, I will not be participating in the Boy Scouts of America Jamboree this summer,” Carly Rae Jepsen tweeted Tuesday. “I always have and will continue to support the LGBT community on a global level … and stay informed on the ever changing landscape in the ongoing battle for gay rights in this country and across the globe.”

She’s not the only artist who won’t sing for the Boy Scouts because of the organizations anti-gay beliefs.

Train also backed out of the concert, stating, they’d be happy to re-join IF the Boy Scouts of America changed their views.

We think standing up for what you believe in is cool and totally support gay rights too!
